Katie Scott imagined this naturalistic square when she discovered Historia Naturalis Palmarum, a 19th century work by the German Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius, botanist, ethnographer and explorer. The diversity of shapes and colors of one of the oldest species on the planet is so surprising that it arouses the imagination: what could be more creative than nature itself? Exploring the palm family in the tradition of botanical prints, the designer takes up some specimens of this plant that she considers "the embodiment of exoticism".
