Marvelous vintage carre, Made in France by Hermes, model Tanzanie designed by Robert Dallet in 1977 and reissued during the 90s in Cashmere (exact date unknown).
Shortly after achieving independence from Britain in the early 1960s, Tanganyika and Zanzibar merged to form the nation of Tanzania, East AFrica, in 1964.
