Superb collector Hermès Kelly 28 in Gold with gold-toned hardware, one of the most sought-after sizes.
Grained calfskin, most likely early Togo (circa 1997). This leather is known for its durability, resistance to scratches, and its ability to maintain structure while becoming more supple over time.
Please note: this item is sold on consignment. The color and leather have been identified to the best of our expertise; however, we cannot guarantee the exact denomination used by Hermès at the time, particularly for pieces from the late 1990s.
The leather shows a fine, regular grain consistent with early Togo production, although naming conventions were not always standardized at that time.
This bag is in excellent condition for its age (1997). Only two very small marks are visible on one corner. The hardware shows minimal to no signs of wear, and the interior is clean and well preserved.
Additional note on the stamp:
The black “Hermès Paris Made in France” stamp can raise questions for some buyers. This variation is known to exist depending on period, workshop, and stamping process, and does not affect the authenticity of the bag. This type of stamp is less commonly seen and is appreciated by certain collectors for its distinctive appearance.
