Gloria Petyarre (b. 1945 at Atnangkere Soakage), Australian Aboriginal artist from the Anmatyerre community who live just north of Alice Springs.

Transmuted from the imagination of Gloria Petyarre, renowned Australian aboriginal artist, Le Rêve de Gloria is a work from the Bush Medicine Dreaming series. This work celebrates plants with medicinal properties as the artist covers the surface with a harmonious, living carpet of leaves. Australian aboriginal culture is founded on the memory of the origin of life in mythical times, referred to as "tjukurpa", or "alcheringa", which in English is translated as the Dreamtime, or Dreaming. It is said that the life forces rose up from the earth and wandered the virgin wilderness, shaping the landscape.
