Hermes 2014 Blanc/Rouge/Mutlicolore Artist Carre by Claude Viallat Twill 90cm Scarf NWT!

$0.00 USD

Fantastic artistic Hermes sacrf designed by Claude Viallat in 2014.

In 1966, Claude Viallat, 30 years old, adopts a motive that will cross all his work. The repetition of this particular form is explained by its conception of painting: "The object of painting is painting itself, and the paintings on display relate only to themselves (...) 'offer point of escape, because the surface, by the breaks of form which are made there, prohibits the mental projections or the dreamlike ravings of the spectators.' Thus the support becomes for Claude Viallat an inexhaustible ground of experimentation and this motive will evolve by the play of colors, of repetition.
Admired for his talent as a colorist, Claude Viallat, at the invitation of Pierre-Alexis Dumas, artistic director of Hermès, went to Lyon, in the silk printing workshops of the house. It is there, surrounded by the craftsmen, that he thought this square and affixed his imprint on the twill of silk.

Her name is Thera, but that is not her real name. Her real name is unpronounceable
in any tongue in current use on this planet earth. She was christened in the ancient
of days, in the original language of the old Gods. She is the Daughter of the one
true God, all that is, the creator of the universe.

Don't miss it, lovely framed or to create a Pillow Cover!
