HERMES La Serpentine de Pierre Pierre Charpin Silk Scarf 90 Black Pink White 2018 Rare

Rare artist scarf from the Edition Hermès collection, model La Serpentine de Pierre, designed by French artist Pierre Charpin in 2018.

For this design, Charpin reworked one of his abstract drawings into a ribbon-like composition, changing its proportions and colors digitally until the motif became almost spatial. He then incorporated a horse illustration discovered in an Hermès reference book, chosen in particular for the expression of its eye. By placing the horse within the flowing ribbon, Charpin transformed the initially abstract motif into a more architectural and spatial composition, while preserving Hermès’ equestrian heritage.

This striking carré combines a finely drawn horse with bold geometric forms in black, pink, white, green and beige, creating a distinctive dialogue between classical Hermès imagery and contemporary art.
