Rare small etole model Les Insectes created by Mme la Torre in 1959 for her scarf and offered here in a special version in soie SABREE
Hermes has edited a few designs with this fabric of silk "les satines" they called them. The process is called sabree. The art of the fur on the hinds is extremely long, difficult to make and requires the hands of experts : imagine that the woman take one by one the fibers of silk to put it outside, that' give this external thickness and soft velvet touch. It tooks days and hunderd of hours. The background is a marvelous warm beige champagne, the material is satined and thick, it is a splendor, a real art of work, an unique piece to frame or to wear!
This etole is not big, 4 should have been made form the orignal scarf of 90cm due to this dimension, original care tag, rare, collectors piece.
